Who We Are
The co-founders, Kain Miegom and Jeremy Oakes, are both originally from British-Columbia and were childhood friends. They became friends in grade school and shared many of the same interests such as visual arts and skateboarding. Though you won’t see them “shredding” down Mont-Royal Avenue on their skateboards anymore, they still maintain a regular practice in painting, and contributing to the arts world here in Montreal.
After high school, the two young men, each on their own, found themselves moving to different areas of the country (endlessly searching, for god only knows what or why), and by chance ended up in the same profession to make ends meet. Painting work seemed an easy choice for the two to make as artists on the road, perhaps because of their good base knowledge in paint allowed them fall into this profession, maybe due to the fact that you don’t need a certificate or education in the field to start working in it, possible in the fact that it was work easily found in every place they went, and likely it was a bit of all these factors. Moving around a lot, allowed them both to learn the craft from many professionals and picking up a lot of skills in the trade in those years of painting and vagabonding at the time.
Jeremy and Kain ran into each other in the streets of Montreal one sunny afternoon in the summer of 2016, and instantly pick up the friendship where it was left years before. Time seemed to move very quickly since their reunion, with career changes, nights on the town, more travelling, hearts broken, and one hot summer day in 2021 Kain thought of the idea to start a company of his own, and where his best friend and “partner in crime” (Jeremy) would accompany him. Since then, they have been working side by side with no one to answer to except themselves. With their combined experience, their first year in the industry had proven to be a great success, with the only trouble in keeping up with the growing clientele base.
Commercial renovations is just a means to an end for the two, and at the end of the day they both enjoy an evening in their art studios. You can even spot a few murals around town done by Kain, and happen to attend an arts event Jeremy has helped organize. Their business will help fund their respectives goals; Kain wants to open a restaurant and buy some property he can call his own, while Jeremy wants to buy an ocean worthy boat, fix it up, and seasonally travel the world under its canvas sails. Well that’s just about it, if you want to know more, you’ll have to hire them, offer them coffee, and ask them how their day is going.
